This large colony of pink zoas shown above is for sale, but the rock its on is a large piece with a hole in the center and alot of other life on it, please pm me about it. I have many smaller frags of these same zoas as shown below

This picture above is a mat of star polyps about 2x3 inches, the little blennie hiding below is not for sale :-)

Chemical warfare among soft corals

The large colony of quick growing pink zoa's I have in my tank has almost completly covered the oval/massive rock the colony is based on, except for the one last rhodactis mushroom sitting on the side. Well they finally surrounded the shroom and began growing in on it, until..... The shroom fought back! Apparently these hairy mushrooms can pack quite a sting, there is a white ring where the two corals meet, where the mushroom is fighting for its spot on the rock. Here are a few pictures of the war.....

All the pink zoas in my tank came from this tiny original frag of 3 polyps about 8 months ago

This center shot shows my very large pink zoa colony, some razor cualerpa growing well, and my pagoda colony, aquired a year ago. There are some montipora digi. frags in the rock structure, hopefully pics will be availible soon!

My largest coral colony, this rock rapidly became overgrown my these FMAS auction zoas, it is my centerpiece and sits in a sandy bottom seperate from the rock wall.

Bubble Tip Anenome Splits !!!

Here is one of the daughter anenomes, this one has been staying in the rocks mainly and is still recovering.
This daughter anenome has better coloration and has been out of the rocks more, the maroon goldbar has hosted this anenome since the mother split.

Here are a few pictures of a small clam we collected off the beach in Ft. Luaderdale. It turned out to still be alive and has lots of colorfull encrustations. For ID purposes i took it out of the QT and put it on my crossbrace under bright VHO's for the photograph

First photos and stats unvieled!

Well everyone, I finally took down my 30gl reef, but the good news is, its now a 75gl reef! This project has been going on over a month now, building the stand, ordering parts, moving and finally setting the tank up as of nearly a month ago. The stand was built super strong with 3 x two by fours for each of the four vertical leg supports, it is crossbraced and has a floor underneath the cabinet which holds everything off the floor. The display is a brand new AGA 75gl with a cross brace. The sump is a 20gl long, My new overflow has arrived and should be working tomarrow, its a new CPR overflow rated to 800gph, the return is a Rio 1700. I am ordering a new Coralife super skimmer needle wheel 120 to replace the CSS65. There are several maxijets inside the display to supplement flow. I am currently building the canopy which will house the 4 x VHO bulbs, they are 2 x actinic 110w and 2 x 10k 110w. I will be using 55w PC actinics or 50/50's to supplement the VHO's. The reflector is a high reflectivity model sold by coralife. I never got additional rock for the tank becuase of the massive amount i had from my other tanks, so i just consolidated. I used over 80lbs of live sand in the display, a mix of coarse sand and rubble and fine oolite. The sump has an additional 30 to 40lbs of live sand. I also invested in some heavy duty magnetic grips to replace suction cups on my powerheads, so far very happy with them. More updates will come along with better pictures! Keep checking in on stuff!
